Some paths in life find you. Traditional Chinese Medicine chose me as much as I chose it. Always passionate about life’s metaphysical and spiritual aspects, I was instinctively drawn to Qigong, TCM, and the power of body, mind, and spirit to take control of our health.

Thirty years ago, I started Qigong classes with Grand Master Lu introducing me to many different healing modalities and changing the trajectory of my life. I came to understand the power of Qi and the balance between emotions and spiritual health and well-being. This inspired me to pursue my Master of Science & Acupuncture degree.

I have had the distinct honor and privilege of learning from Grand Master Lu and embracing the shared knowledge of his ancient lineage. I greatly respect the traditional training, our unique student-master relationship, and receiving learning not found in books but from hands-on experience. Helping others to understand self-healing, prevention, life balance, and wellness through nurturing the body, mind, and spirit became my purpose. Today, I give back the richness and beauty of Traditional Chinese Medicine to my patients and community through this powerful framework.

I was always drawn to helping people; healthcare was a natural path for me. With my degree in occupational therapy from Boston University I have worked with adults in inpatient and outpatient settings, and for the majority of my career with pediatrics working in their homes, in pediatric clinics, and in the public schools. In this time I saw Western medicine’s ability to treat acute and chronic conditions and manage symptoms. But something was missing. There was little focus on the mind and the spirit, little about our body’s natural ability to self-heal, manage the side-effects of western medicine, or teach life practices focused on prevention and healthy living. Things felt out of balance. In searching for that balance, I found Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture, and it was to change my life.

This ancient and elegant medical system practiced for thousands of years is the natural complement to Western medicine and my clinical background as an occupational therapist. It’s a practice that considers and nurtures the whole person. This is what was missing. TCM works in harmony with the energy of our body, always with an emphasis on prevention, healthy life choices, and spiritual peace to maintain balance and health. Traditional Chinese Medicine would be my path.

Aligned with my belief systems, TCM fueled my desire to achieve a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine degree and a doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health Sciences. During this time, I studied the ancient energy practice, Wu Ming Qigong, with Grand Mater Nan Lu at the Tao of Healing and became a Dragon’s Way® instructor. I personally experienced healing I never before achieved, or even imagined possible. I experienced the healing ability of acupuncture, Qigong, and traditional Chinese herbs to heal chronic challenges, prevent disease and maintain health.

My practical training since 2018 at Tao of Healing showed me firsthand the power of TCM and acupuncture to fundamentally change people’s lives. Grand Master Lu has further broadened my understanding of TCM and pediatric care with specific instruction in pediatrics in his traditional framework. Studying under Grand Master Lu is an extraordinary honor. It is a gift that I will pass on, giving people confidence in their bodies again, helping them better trust themselves, and learning their inherent capacity to heal once the body finds better balance. This is where I always belonged; this is my path.

Practitioner of Qigong Meridian Therapy, Medical Qigong and Pet Energy Therapy. Certified Breast Health and 3E Qigong Instructor.

It has been a great honor and privilege to receive extensive training from Grand Master Nan Lu. I have experienced the healing potential of Qi through the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and my resulting personal transformation.

In my previous practices of music and architecture, I was trained to develop all my senses and sensibilities. I enjoyed the process of learning, solving problems, and creating something harmonious and beautiful. Studying with Grand Master Nan Lu, I learned to perceive energy and his teaching helped me reconnect to my eastern roots. I am truly grateful for the gifts of his wisdom and linage.

I am now able to share these treasures with others. I am deeply passionate about my work and I am proud to live in the practice of Tao. I hope to make each connection a little more profound, and the world a more beautiful place to be.
